Resort awarded for lending a helping hand
The resort bagged three awards. The Wild Coast Sun’s Socio-Economic Development (SED) manager, Bandile Mdliva, received the award of Best Licensee Coordinator.
The Wild Coast Sun was recently awarded for its dedication to socio-economic development during the recent Eastern Cape Gambling Board CSI Awards.
The resort bagged three awards. The Wild Coast Sun’s Socio-Economic Development (SED) manager, Bandile Mdliva received the award of Best Licensee Coordinator.
Among the awards was the Best Performing Project in the Agriculture Focus Area: for the assistance of the Queen’s Greens farming project. The judges felt that Wild Coast Sun’s efforts in contributing towards sustainable agricultural development and making a positive impact on local communities were acknowledged.
Also, the resort bagged the Best Performing CSI Project in the Anti-Poverty Focus Area: by providing boreholes for Sirhasheni and Mngungu communities.
It was said that the Wild Coast Sun demonstrated its commitment to alleviating poverty and supporting initiatives that empower individuals to overcome economic challenges.
The third award was for the second-best Performing CSI Project in the Education Focus Area: the donation of science kits to Alfred Nzo East District, in collaboration with the Mngungundlovu Communal Property Association. The judges said this demonstrated Wild Coast Sun’s dedication to enhancing access to quality education and improving educational opportunities for young learners.
Wild Coast Sun General Manager, Peter Tshidi expressed his gratitude to all staff for their tireless efforts in making these accomplishments possible.
