Schools withholding matric results warned
KZN MEC for Education Mbali Frazer said the department directs and warns all the principals that this practice is against the department's policy.
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education has raised concerns regarding principals who are allegedly withholding the statement of results of matriculants.
KZN MEC for Education Mbali Frazer said it has been brought to the attention of the department by parents, that some principals are withholding the statements.
Frazer said the department directs and warns all the principals that this practice is against the department’s policy.
“As a result, matriculants are denied to further their studies at tertiary institutions and are missing the opportunities to apply for open late applications. Please bring this to the attention of all school principals,” she said.
