Karateka wished well for provincial champs

Ugu Karate recently conducted selections for elite athletes who will be participating in the upcoming KKZN Provincial Championships in Durban on Sunday, February 18.
The selection, as well as a training session for all elite and development karateka in the region, was held at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre.
The very informative training session was conducted by KKZN Karate technical convenor Renshi Brando Pillay and was enjoyed by all karateka who attended.
A referee course conducted by KKZN head referee Yakeel Maharaj was also attended by the regions up-and-coming elite brown and black belt athletes.
“We are proud of the hard work of both elite and development athletes in the region and wish those participating in this weekend’s championship all the best,” said chairperson of Ugu Karate, Shihan Coenie Vrey.
