Resort hosts fun wine evening

The event did not only feature wine lovers but also well-known local DJs such as DJ 101.

The Wild Coast Sun believes that one glass of wine per day could keep the doctor away.

This was confirmed by the resort’s marketing manager, Cynthia Nene, during a Wine Night Stand event hosted by the resort last weekend.

Nene said the event was held in celebration of National Drink Wine Day which was on Sunday, February 18.
The event did not only feature wine lovers but also well-known local DJs such as DJ 101.

“We thought we should do the Wine Night Stand on both Saturday and Sunday. We wanted to give the community an event they could go to and have some fun. Yes, we were hoping to get more people. It was the first time we hosted such an event on the South Coast and most people are unfamiliar with it. I am sure that when we do another similar event in future, more people will join us because those who attended will tell others about it,” said Nene.

According to National Today: “Moderate drinkers of wine have lower risks of liver disease, type II diabetes, certain kinds of cancers, heart attack, and stroke. It also can reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase good cholesterol (HDL). Drinking wine includes other benefits as well. When paired with the right meal, it enhances the flavour of spices, fruits, and sauces. A glass of wine helps relax us. Learning about wine keeps our minds sharp, too. Since the grapes, regions and the making of wine have such a complex story, those who delve into it find themselves travelling to learn more.”
