Route for adventure seekers launched
Located in Murchison, Madakane the KwaNdwalane Adventure Experience is a four-hour hike.
The KwaNdwalane Adventure Experience which includes hikes, river crossings, waterfall experience and birding, was launched by South Coast Tourism and Investment Enterprise (SCTIE) recently.
Located in Murchison, Madakane the KwaNdwalane Adventure Experience is a four-hour hike, said the tour guide – Nkosinathi Dladla.
Dladla said during the hike, participants are given educational talks about the area and its offerings.
Speaking on behalf of the KwaNdwalane Traditional Council, Induna yesizwe Sifiso Sikobi said they were delighted to see SCTIE in their area.
“We are grateful for this gesture. We are hopeful South Coast Tourism will not only market the place but also help us with keeping it busy with tourists,” said Sikobi.
The acting CEO of SCTIE, Deborah Ludick, said the South Coast has beautiful natural resources which combined with adventure activities and cultural tours, make for an incredible outdoor adventure.
Ludick said the subtropical climate and breathtaking scenery make the South Coast a must-visit destination this Easter.
She said from the Blue Flag beaches to the lush hinterland, this action-packed destination is an outdoor adventurer’s dream.
“This Easter, why not try one of these exciting activities. Ocean safari – home to three Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and two world-class dive sites, there is much to explore on a South Coast ocean safari. River cruise – take in the South Coast’s incredible sights. Water sports – the southernmost tip of the South Coast, is the perfect spot for a water sports holiday. Scenic aerial trips – those looking for an aerial outdoor adventure will enjoy a helicopter, light aircraft, or microlight flips available. Mountain biking – saddle up and take a mountain biking adventure on the remote and unspoilt South Coast trails. The KwaXolo Caves Adventures, 4×4 trail, vulture hide, game drive, animal farms, reptile farms, horse riding, quad biking, surfing, farm stalls, hiking, and nature reserves,” she said.
