Cable thieves nabbed
Fever Local News | A group of people were noticed digging on the side of the R102.
Three people were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning last week for tampering with public infrastructure.
Lazer 911 reported that one of their Hibberdene response officers noticed a group of people digging on the side of the R102 between Umzumbe and Hibberdene at about 03:00.
Back-up was requested and Saps Port Shepstone K9 unit assisted.
They managed to arrest a woman and two men from the group and recover Eskom cables including tools.
Saps Hibberdene opened a case for tampering with infrastructure and detained the three individuals.
