Bowls club’s Oktoberfest raises vital funds
The German beer and music event was a much-needed fundraiser after the April floods nearly destroyed the bowling club.
The world’s largest beer festival, Oktoberfest, is held annually in Munich, Germany, and on the local front, South Coasters attended the Oktoberfest at the Margate Bowling Club last Saturday.

Bowlers and visitors enjoyed good beer, food and music.
Yvonne Bausek, president of the Margate Bowling Club, said the event was a huge success. She thanked all for supporting it.
