DJ Zinhle features local music duo
Section Five said they have projects in the pipeline with Mörda, Artwork Sounds, Goldmax, and DJ Zinhle.
Izingolweni music duo Section Five was recently featured in the hit song Sorry, by renowned musician DJ Zinhle.
Busisa Isaac Nyawose and Thando Cele said it was a wonderful experience to work with DJ Zinhle.
Nyawose said the song was initially produced in 2024 with Skillz Music.
However, he felt that something was missing on completion of the project.
“So, we invited MK Productions, who added some flavour to it. MK happened to be in the presence of DJ Zinhle and her husband, Mörda. They both fell in love with the song and asked to be part of it. The song then became what it is today,” he said.
He added that the song had a powerful message.
“It is about people understanding that they are human and that they make mistakes. It encourages them to ask for forgiveness when they realise they are in the wrong. Sometimes, we do and say things that hurt people, so it is good to ask for forgiveness when we have wronged each other. If you do not have the words to ask for forgiveness, send whoever you have wronged this song, and it will apologise on your behalf,” he said.
Nyawose said his love for music started 20 years ago, and he focuses on all aspects of house music, Afro Pop and Amapaino.
He also started writing music and singing in 2005.
“I was introduced to music after I listened to Letha Mbulu and Jabu Khanyile in the 90s. I did not understand much then, but it was about how I felt. I then decided to study Visual Arts, Art History and Musicology at Unisa. This is where I got my understanding of music. I also studied music production at Creatives Arts,” he said.
Previously, he was known as Isaac Music before he saw a European festival, Tomorrow Land.
“I told myself if I wanted to be big, I had to rebrand myself so that one day, I can be in Tomorrow Land. In 2019, my nephew (Thando Cele) told me he wanted to sing and produce beats. I was proud of him, so I started mentoring him. That was when I came up with Section Five and invited him to the group,” he said.
Nyawose said in 2024, they released a song with Sun-EL Musician Hamba Nami and a song with Simmy, Moya Wami.
They have other music projects in the pipeline with Mörda, Artwork Sounds, Goldmax and DJ Zinhle.
“Our music can be found on all social media platforms, and we are Section Five on social media,” said Nyawose.
