Public choice award for pageant hopeful

Noluthando Pearl Mthimkulu said she appreciated all the social media support she received.

Noluthando Pearl Mthimkulu was named the runner-up at the crowning of Miss Phenomenal Queen South Africa in Johannesburg last week.

Mthimkhulu also won the Public Choice Award.

She said she could not remember the last time she was on stage.

“As I look back on this journey, it has been a long one. I believe I did the best I could. Nothing warms my heart more than living a purposeful life. I knew God went on that stage before me. I always say konke kuneskhathi (everything has its time). Thank you to all the people who carried me since the journey started. I couldn’t have done it without you,” she said.

She added she appreciated all the support on social media.

“I went home with two titles – runner-up and the Public Choice Award – I love both titles. The Public Choice Award touched my heart so much as it was given to the person who received support from society,” she said.
