THE club championships at Uvongo Tennis Club ended recently with the men’s singles final being played between Neil Perry and Willem Erasmus, with Neil clinching the title in three sets.
Neil and long-time mixed doubles partner Annamarie Wege won the mixed doubles title by beating Deon Burgers and Lynette Shell in two sets.
If this was not enough, Neil partnered Willem to win the men’s doubles trophy, while Annamarie also won the women’s singles in a three setter against Ellene Barbadimos, and the doubles with new partner Marietjie Stols.
Christian Martinez received a merit award as the most improved young player, while Brian Danckwerts was recognised for playing in three events, including singles, at the age of 83.
