Coaches to promote sporting talent

The future of many sports codes looks bright.

IF you feel that sport among the youth has been somewhat neglected, don’t despair, for change is afoot thanks to the formation of a new coaching set-up called Back 2 Basics, headed by Wicus Pretorius.

It comprises a team of specialised coaches who aim to tap into and develop the talent available on the South Coast.

Back 2 Basics will offer coaching in the disciplines of cricket, soccer, tennis and hockey to youngsters aged nine to 16.

It will also provide co-ordination and basic ball skills for children between the ages of four to eight. Back 2 Basics intends creating a social and sporting environment where youngsters will be able to learn to play their favourite sport easily.

Groups will range in size but will most likely be about 30 in size at any given clinic.

Coaching sessions will take place every Saturday morning at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds starting at 9am.

For registration forms and more information contact Wicus at 079 5372929 or 081 4649660 or alternatively back2basics@webmail,co.za
