Banana County club takes honours
It was a proud moment, gaining 33 points out of 47 points for the club championship.
THE Banana County Radio Control Racing Club hosted the KwaZulu-Natal Championships for the 1/10 electric on-road last weekend. There were 68 entries and although there was lots of wind, it was a blessing that there was no rain. This year, racing was clockwise, which was a challenge for all, but since the track has been repainted, it resembles a realistic, small Kyalami track.
Members excelled and took honours in most classes and it was a proud moment gaining 33 points out of 47 points for the club championship. The club is now 28 points ahead and with one more KwaZulu-Natal championship in Durban in November, members are ‘amped’ to do well and be KZN champions for the second year running.

The on-road and off-road tracks have been fenced to prevent vandalism. Club members get a key to enter the premises, but there are also temporary permits available for holidaymakers. For further information contact Denkit Hobbies at 039 3151640.
