Youngs swimmers make a splash

The competition was awesome with some nail-biting finishes and great camaraderie all round.

BLUE Ocean Aquatics Swim Club hosted its annual swimming gala last Saturday. The gala featured swimmers who had been training hard all winter. Although the day was overcast with light rain, this did not deter the young swimmers from competing. Participation was similiar to last year’s gala with 106 entries. An evident growth was noted in the under six girls’ event. The competition was awesome with some nail-biting finishes and great camaraderie all round. A total of 76 races took place.
