Margate Saints rock at SKZN champs
The club performed well against tough opponents.
MARGATE Saints’ Surf Lifesaving Club ‘rocked’ during the Southern KwaZulu-Natal champs held at St Mike’s last weekend. Thanks were extended to the various sponsors, too numerous to mention, as well as to all who made the weekend such a success. Six teams took part, namely Margate Saints, Winkelspruit, Scottburgh, Warner Beach, Fast Track (Umgababa) and Umtamvuna (Port Edward).

Champs for juniors and seniors were held last Saturday and Margate Saints came second in the senior division but managed to win the junior division, a wonderful achievement. U15 competitors Erica Hartley and Luyanda Jali both won their divisions, while the club scooped some 82 medals.
The Nippers competed the following day, with Margate Saints finishing in third place, just one point behind Warner Beach. Still, they managed 51 medals on the day, with Dillon Brymer (U13) and Mathew Greyling (U9) winning their respective divisions.
