BRITNEY Pieterse, Mandy Koegelenberg, Marzelle de Beer and Liam Reid made the long trip to Midmar Dam to take part in the Capital K 1km open water swim recently.
Britney swam the 1km in a great time of 15.22 minutes and came in the top 10 of the 13 and under and 30 and over age group, placing ninth overall.
Mandy came in just behind the winner in her age group, Rita Townsend, placing 11th overall and finishing first in the over 30 age group in a winning time of 15.51 minutes.
Marzelle took a whopping three minutes off last year’s time and placed 33rd overall, in a time of 17.37 minutes.
Liam Reid had a great swim and finished 46th in the men’s event with a time of 16.59 minutes.
The next open water swim is KZN Champs at Albert Falls Dam on December 15 and the club looks forward to seeing some great results from the Blue Ocean Aquatics swimmers.
