WINNERS of the Fruit and Veg City open trips, played last Friday afternoon, were Athol Robertson, Dieter Scholtz and Maureen Roach on 4+26.
Runners-up were Graham and Angie Gold, with Irene Filmer on 4+8. Session prize went to Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Helen Proctor on 2+19.

There will be a ‘Development Fun Day’ on December 29, all welcome, bring your friends and family for a fun morning of bowls with a bring and braai afterwards.
The Christmas lunch was a great success and all those who helped are to be thanked, in particular Barbara Brook who did a great job of organising the whole event.
There is a list on the notice board where names can be entered for a party on New Year’s Eve. Non-bowlers are welcome to join in the ‘mufti’ bowls on Sunday mornings.

WINNERS of last Friday’s weekly nominated mixed trips were Bez Bezuidenhout, Jan Venter and Joey Venter. Second prize went to Norman Aiston, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Louise Shone.

THE green is now being levelled and brought to the condition of one of the best on the South Coast and an absolute pleasure to play on.
The committee, on behalf of the bowlers, thanks Chris Abram and his team for their dedication to excellence. Hopefully the weather will play the game as well.
The club will reopen on Friday, January 17 with the inauguration of the Engel & Volkers men’s fours, the women’s trips on Tuesday, January 21 and the mixed trips on January 28.
In the meantime the committee wishes all the members joy, love and friendship with close friends and family over the festive season.

THERE will be a Christmas pudding run on Saturday afternoon at normal tabs time. Entry fee R10, followed by the draw for the Christmas hamper.
The open trips was unfortunately rained out last week, but the mixed trips is due to take place today (Thursday).

THE Warwick Wealth open day was held last Saturday, with all greens filled by enthusiastic players from several clubs from the surrounding area. Several new players took part and were wholeheartedly welcomed.
Afterwards, the prize-giving was great fun with scrumptious boerewors rolls and a birthday tea adding to the festive atmosphere. Winners were Steve Rennie, Trevor Smith, Dallas Davis and Pat Stringer, with the runners-up Jokkie van Buuren, Dice Graaf and Elna Stringer.
In third place were Gino Alilovic, Roy McKenzie, Ann McAlister. Sportsman’s prize went to Dave Banks, Pat Miller, Terry Morgan and Eve Gouwer.
Duties: bar – Barry Payn; tabs – William McKenzie; tea – Lenie Bosman. The green will be closed on December 25 and 26 and on January 1 and 2.

THE greens are closed for the annual upgrading. The club will still be open on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays between 4 and 6pm so still come and have a drink and catch up with your friends.
