A NUMBER of men competed to be the strongest at the South Coast Strongman 2013 contest at Superbodies Gym in Port Shepstone last Saturday. A large crowd of locals came to support and cheer on the competitors.
Showing great determination, stamina and of course, power, Sne Siko, who trains hard and pushes himself to the limits, was the overall strongman winner.
The Under 85kg winner was Andile Mavundla, followed by Dane Nair in second and Niven Pillay in third.
The Under 95kg section was won by Jared Read, followed by Rashied Gopaul in second and Tyrone du Toit in third.
The open section saw Sne Siko in first place, Sylva Naidoo in second and Ferdie van Greuning in third.
In the tyre flip category, Terrence Viviers took first place, Rashied Gopaul was second and Sne Siko third.
Sne came first in the car pulling category, Rashied was second and Andile third.
Organiser, Selvin Naidoo thanked all the competitors and supporters for making the day such a huge success. He confirmed that it will be even bigger and better next year.
