Sole reeled in
GAVIN Sole’s seven year victory run came to an end at the San Lameer Open last Saturday.The Big Fish was usurped by one of the country’s top juniors, James du Preez from Pretoria CC, who had rounds of 72 and 74 on a day where the course was set up ‘extremely tough’. Sean Baker was second, on rounds of 76 and 76, followed by Robert Mavundla on 76 and 77 and Keegan McLachlan on 82 and 77. Sole was next on 76 and 83, an afternoon round he put down to fatigue.There was some consolation for the Big Fish – at least he had a parking spot this year!>
