A FEW members started the new year with a game at Umtentweni Tennis Club which started in the late afternoon due to the heat. They were joined by some visitors.
The weather was sizzling hot last Saturday and most sought the shelter of the trees between sets, seemingly content to cheer on youngster Keagan van der Merwe from the side.
Thanks to the visitors who have joined the regulars during the holiday season.
Welcome back to Lynne Rorich who has been absent with leave.
Jean Marx is still away, and members wish John and Mariane Silk a wonderful stay in Mexico for the next six months.
Chantelle Donald is leaving for England and is wished a happy time there.
Members are reminded about the pre-AGM meeting this Saturday.
There is social tennis at the club on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2pm. All welcome.
If anyone plays at the courts out of these times, please ‘post’ your monies under the door, preferably in an envelope with your name on it.
The fees and contact numbers are posted at the entrance to the clubhouse.
