WITH rain threatening at Umtentweni Tennis Club last Saturday, it was touch and go as to whether there would be tennis but, luckily, the rain held off till late in the afternoon so five courts were in full swing till then.
Visitors Brendon Aldridge, Shauna Hudson, Wynand Breytenbach and Brett Kjonstad helped to swell the numbers and members look forward to seeing them at the club again soon. Eats provided by Jean Marx were enjoyed by all.
A last-minute reminder to members that the AGM will be held this Saturday, January 25 at 6pm, and will be followed by a braai. Remember to let Grant Wood know if you are coming to facilitate the catering arrangements.
Should it rain on Saturday, the meeting will go ahead at 5.30pm and will still be followed by a braai. (Last week’s news incorrectly stated that there would not be a braai if it rained! Apologies for the confusion.). Please make every effort to attend as there are matters to be discussed which concern every member and everyone’s input is much valued.
