STC’s new year starts with round robin
The club's men are planning a fun day for the women.
SOUTHBROOM Tennis Club played the new year’s round robin last Sunday, organised by David Crouwkamp and Ron Stirling. The winner of the A players was Ron Stirling, runner-up David Crouwkamp. Pauline Lee won the B section, runner-up Stella Wilkinson. The braai was enjoyed by many players. The weather was brilliant with lovely sunshine and a bit of a breeze!
The next event is scheduled for Sunday, February 9. It will be a women’s fun day – organised by the club’s men – the women will be in for a surprise and a treat.
Best wishes go to Robert D’Avice and Paul Sharples for speedy recoveries.
Court repairs are being started this week, but there will be no interruption to the normal social tennis on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
