UMTENTWENI Tennis Club was full of action last Saturday.
The men played a round robin, all playing against each other, thus giving everyone the same chance to win.
The victors in the end were Tish Roos, who made a welcome appearance on the courts again after his return from Europe, and Raj Naganna. Thanks to Reel Fincham for organising the tournament.
Members wish Raj good luck when he plays in a veterans’ tournament in George next week. Travel safely, Raj, and keep Tweni’s flag flying high.
Thanks also to Trish Wood who provided sustenance in the form of sarmies, mini rock cakes and Boston bread during the afternoon.
After tennis, members enjoyed a spitbraai provided by Topmarx Caterers and there was lots of banter and fun.
It was good to have several visitors joining members for this event and everyone seemed to have had a really great time.
Chloë Dutton brought the music and had her camera snapping here, there and everywhere which will provide some new photos for the board.
Thanks, Chloë, your commitment to the club puts the rest of us to shame.
Visitors are most welcome to join members for social tennis on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from about 2pm onwards.
