New ‘Suzuki way of life’ for winner Johann

It was a wonderful surprise for the Uvongo couple.

JOHANN Victor is the latest owner of a Suzuki SX4 GLX, the top-specced model in the range, winning it in a national competition (a Father’s Day promotion) run by Car Magazine.

It was no small feat that the winner came from the sunny South Coast.

Johann was obviously thrilled. “It’s unreal. We’ve been looking at Suzuki vehicles for a while now. Great product,” he said.

So it’s perhaps a touch ironic that this is how it should turn out. “I think Corbin Boonzaier (new vehicle sales executive) was sick of seeing us,” joked Johann.

His wife Lucinda wore a grin from Cape to Cairo. “I feel a bit nervous, excited. This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing,” she said.

The handover was held at Suzuki South Coast in Port Shepstone, with Chazlin Haskins, Suzuki Auto SA’s District Sales Controller, making the trip down from Midrand to be part of the occasion.

Local dealer principal Chris Lepan was very happy the prize had been won by a South Coaster.

“It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving couple than those two. They’re such humble people. We’re very happy for them,” he said.

Time for the unveiling: Chazlin Haskins, Suzuki Auto SA's District Sales Controller, and Kate Hulley (Suzuki South Coast marketing) can't wait to get a closer look at the big prize.

Equipped with AllGrip technology coupled with pleasantly light and direct steering, this smooth and punchy performer is a willing candidate for any kind of escapade, tough and slippery terrain included.
