Ian and Jackie triumph at Tamil golf day
The golf day is one of this association's major fund-raising events.
Although golfers were faced with some chilly early morning winter weather, they made the best of their time on the greens at the annual Port Shepstone Tamil Association’s golf day at Port Shepstone Country Club last Sunday.

The day’s activities started in the early morning, with golfers supporting a worthy cause. All golfers were treated by the organisers to lunch as well, after prize-giving.
Port Shepstone Tamil Association’s Bobby Naidoo told the Herald that the golf day is one of this association’s major fund-raising events, enabling them to raise the necessary money to undertake various projects.
In keeping with their philosophy, ‘Service to mankind is service to God’, the members of the Port Shepstone Tamil Association, together with the KwaZulu-Natal Tamil Federation, handed R5 000 to Paul Sadapal, the father of Latisha Sadapal of Port Shepstone, who is fighting cancer.
Winners were Ian Mkhize and Jackie Khawula on 51 points.
