Price of petrol to rise on Wednesday
The cost of diesel is however expected to drop.

THE Automobile Association (AA) has advised that February is to show an increase in petrol and a decrease in diesel prices.
This is as per the unaudited month-end fuel price data released by the Central Energy Fund. “The current picture shows petrol increasing by around eight cents a litre, while diesel is set to drop by three cents and illuminating paraffin by nine cents,” said an AA spokesman. “The difference in the price changes relates mainly to the differences in the international product prices of diesel and petrol.”

It was noted that the average Rand strength against the US Dollar had increased and international oil prices had reached a slightly higher level after climbing during the beginning of January. “If international oil prices continue their current stable trend, then South African fuel users may see fewer of the wild swings in fuel prices which characterised 2018,” explained the AA spokesman.
