Southerns knock DHS out of rhythm

Southern KZN puts on another solid performance.

The Southern KwaZulu-Natal cricket team beat DHS Rhythm by eight wickets in a Promotion A match at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday.

Matt Redinger captained the side for Raja Kazi, who was one of a number of team mates involved in a recent taxi crash near Mtwalume.

DHS batted first and were bowled out for 126 in 40.1 overs. Sahal Mansur was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4-23 in eight overs.

Spinner Sajid Tai took 3-37 in 10 overs. Alviro Nadasen took 2-14. In reply, Southern KZN scored 129 in 16.1 overs.

Top scorer was Sachin Kalkapersad with 62 runs with Redinger unbeaten on 41.

Meshan Lanka was undefeated on 18.
