THREE South Coasters took part in the recent Durban Ultra Triathlon (sprint division), namely Marius and Rethe Mostert and Wilko Kunz.
The sprint division is made up of a 600m swim, 20km ride and a 5km run.

“The swim was difficult due to the strong currents, but it was a great race,” said Marius.
He said the road cycle was good, although some of the cyclists found the wet conditions a bit difficult. “The run along the beachfront promenade was amazing,” he said.
Marius completed it in a time of 1:29:41, Rethe 1:31:14 and Wilko 1:44:13.
