Bait up for fun fishing compo

Over R150 000 worth of prizes is on offer. There will be numerous lucky draws including a main cash prize of R4000 and two other prizes worth R1000 cash each.

AVID fishermen, especially those of the fresh water variety, are encouraged to enter the popular annual Paddock Fishing Compo which is scheduled for March 29 to 31.

It promises to be a fun-filled family weekend, and with 30 fully stocked dams, there should be some great catches on offer.

The briefing takes place at the Paddock Farmers’ Club on Friday, March 29, at 7pm. For more information, contact 083 2935265.

While it’s very much a fishing compo, there is also a lot of emphasis on it being a family event, with fun planned for everyone of all ages.

Camping is available and there’s a reminder that no alcohol or pets to be brought into the Paddock Farmers’ Club premises.

There is a bar facility available.

Tickets cost R80 and every ticket is an automatic entry into the lukcy draw.

Arm bands, giving you entrance to the club grounds and dams, cost R20 (over 18s) and R10 (under 18s).

Camping is R300 per tent or caravan for the weekend.
