Striders soak up Durban heat

The South Coast Ultra marathon, hosted by South Coast Striders, will start and finish at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Izotsha on Sunday, April 28.

A NUMBER of South Coast Striders took part in the Deloitte Challenge Marathon and Half Marathon in Durban last Sunday.

They ran in all the distances on offer, but unfortunately due to a water shortage on the 42km run, many did not see good times, but they persevered anyway to cross the finish line.

Looking ahead, the South Coast Ultra marathon, hosted by South Coast Striders, will start and finish at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Izotsha on Sunday, April 28.

There will be races over three distances – 48km, 21km and 10km.

Entries are open and can be done through Finishtime website, via webtickets. The online link is on the South Coast Striders and South Cast Ultra Facebook pages.

All entries received by April 12 will get a T-shirt. Entry forms are available from the tourism kiosk at Shelly Centre and Luckys Sports in Port Shepstone.
