Next level success for swimmers

It was a great way to finish off the season and the swimmers can go in to the new season with the confidence that they can swim even faster.

BLUE Ocean Aquatics swimming club members had great results at the SA Level 2 regional age group championships, hosted in Sasolburg recently.

Nelzaan Strydom made six finals and placed first in the 200m freestyle and second in the 100m freestyle.

Tharien Venter competed in her first level 2 regional championship and made a final in the 200m breaststroke. She was part of the relay team that won silver.

George Annandale made finals in four events and achieved three personal best times.

Ricardo Carthew was swimming on top form and made seven finals. He won two gold medals and two silver medals, of which one was for the relay event.

He swam five personal best times at this meet.

Alexandros Robbettze made three finals in the breaststroke events and placed first in the 50m breaststroke and second in the 100m breaststroke.

He was also part of the relay that placed second, and he improved times in five of his events.
