Renee and Christian are new singles champs
Trophies were lifted high and much bubbly flowed.
THE singles championships at Southbroom Tennis Club are over for the year, being held on Easter Sunday.
The weather was extremely kind and the men’s and women’s finals were hotly contested, with the matches of a high standard.

There was a very happy celebration and prize giving on completion of the championships.
Trophies were lifted high and much bubbly flowed.
Renee Purtell beat Luise Mohr 5-7, 6-2 and 7-6 (7-1).
In the men’s match, Christian Kruger beat Rolf Gudegast 7-6 (7-4) and 6-2.
The club’s annual golf day will take place at Southbroom Golf Club on Friday, May 24.
Funds raised will be used for court repair and the Gcilima Primary School tennis developement programme.
