Beaches were packed, and fishing on the mid-South Coast was quite rewarding, with a lot of fishermen throwing a line at Rocky Bay.
Catches included rockcod, geelbek and some honeycombs.

Fishing can be a fun sport, a way of supplementing an income or for some, a way to put food on the table.
Whatever the case, it is very important to adhere to fishing laws at all times.

Please take note of the following:
• Octopus, sea lice and mud/sand prawn permits have been done away with and these bait organisms may now be collected on a Code 09 Permit in KwaZulu-Natal.
• All bag and size limits must be adhered to.
• Bait organisms may not be sold.
• Failure to comply with permit conditions renders the permit holder liable to a fine and or prosecution and withdrawal of permit.
• You may not stockpile.
• You may not be in possession of more than your species or daily bag limit at any one time.
• You may not collect or utilise marine worms within KwaZulu-Natal.
Tight lines everyone.
