Back to ‘normal’ for busy bowlers
There is much going on in the remainder of this month.
THERE was quite a lot of activity this last week with a good turn out at the tabs-in games and the monthly competition.
At the Thursday afternoon tabs-in (voucher games) a strong showing saw the winning team of Bill Widdison, Pam Spring and Clive Holmes walk away with vouchers for Scott Street Pharmacy and Umdoni Park.

The second session prize winners were the local team of Johan Buys and Lida Boltar with 2+7, and they won vouchers from the Coffee Lounge.
Congratulations to all who took part, and our grateful appreciation to all our sponsors for their considerable support for our club.
There is much going on in the remainder of this month.
We have the ladies 2-4-2 today (Wednesday 23), with the famous Scottburgh Fifth next Wednesday (30th).
This is a mixed trips numbers format competition which is a great favourite and much fun.
Please remember only one skip per team and be aware and register your team well ahead of the date.
Registration is at 1pm, for a 1.30pm start.
It also happens to be the last ‘Fifth’ competition of this year.
The opening rounds of the ladies and men’s drawn pairs (the next club championship) are also scheduled to be played, starting tomorrow (24th) so please refer to the notice board for the dates of play.
Any visiting bowlers are welcome to come and join in our normal ‘tabs-in’ games, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons or on Sunday morning.
All afternoon games start at 2pm (register by 1.30 pm) and morning games start at 9am.
Anyone interested in starting to play bowls can contact Lyn Seymour at 082 8787170 to arrange a coaching session.
Keep taking the grass.
