Medals, records and more for swimmers
It has been a very promising start to the season.
A number of Blue Ocean Aquatics swimmers took part in the KZN Junior Champs and came home with medals and some new records.
Enzo Raynard won six gold medals in 50m backstroke, 50m and 100m breaststroke, 50m and 100m freestyle, and 50m butterfly, making it a clean sweep for him.
Gemma Allchin won bronze medals in 50m and 100m breaststroke.

Daena Robinson won a gold medal in the 50m breaststroke and broke the meet record in a time of 37.84.
She also won a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke.
Nabil Bejia won silver medals in the 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle, adding a bronze in the 100m freestyle.
Daniel Fisher won gold in the 50m breaststroke and silver in the 100m breaststroke.
Callum Heydricks, at his first long course gala, won bronze medals in the 50m butterfly and 50m breaststroke.
Marnu Koekemoer won bronze medals in the 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley.
Everraud Raynard won silver in 100m breaststroke and bronze in 100m butterfly.
He was also the age group winner for the nine year old age group, meaning he was the best nine year old male swimmer, based on points earned.
The other swimmers who took part swam personal best times and also made qualifying times for the different levels.
Tehl-Cadi Daygarden improved on her swims by 42.48 seconds.
Erin Heydricks swam qualifying times for level 2.
Leah Scott swam improvements on her times by 6.42 seconds.
George Annandale had improvement of 3.1 seconds.
It was a first in the long course 50m pool for Callum Heydricks, Callum Robinson and James Fisher and coach Mandy Koegelenberg looks forward to seeing their times in the next event as they more than held their own in the big pool.
