Future cricket champs in the making
The idea behind this sporting event was to get young cricket enthusiasts acquainted with the basics of the game, including batting, bowling and fielding.
It was all about fun in the sun at KwaZulu-Natal KFC Mini Cricket held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary last Saturday.

Young boys and girls from eight local primary schools – RA Engar Primary, Jai Hind Primary, Southcity Christian Schools, Port Shepstone Country Club, Port Shepstone Primary, Port Shepstone Islamic School, Hlanganani Primary and Port Shepstone Junior Primary – attended the family fun day.

The idea behind this sporting event was to get young cricket enthusiasts acquainted with the basics of the game, including batting, bowling and fielding.
Mini cricket co-ordinator Nirvana Manawar said that KFC Mini Cricket in partnership with the Southern Natal Cricket Union is a wonderful platform to identify talent and to develop future hardball and Protea players.

“The event on Saturday was a fun and friendly way to teach children about the sport, team skills and enabled them to make new friends,” she said.
