Tennis players beat the heat
Visitors are very welcome to join members on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from about 2pm till light (or exhaustion!) stops play.
Summer seems to have come with a vengeance, but the heat doesn’t easily deter Umtentweni Tennis Club members from pitching up to play and there were five courts going last Saturday.
The strong wind on Wednesday last week did keep many away and only three courts were utilised that day.

A warm welcome is extended to new member, Naren Sunker, and members wish him many happy hours on the courts.

In the coming week, the following members celebrate their birthdays and are wished a happy day and lots of great tennis in the year ahead: Grace Francis on the 3rd; Helgard du Preez on the 4th and Julia Christiansen on the 7th.
Saturday duty: November 2 – Chantelle Donald; November 9 – Mervyn Tarboton.
