Clean sweep for ‘Sssezelaa’
In true 'Friendly Club' spirit the teams decided to pool the prize and arrange an evening at Penn Valley Golf Estate Restaurant, who sponsored vouchers, to show Sezela’s appreciation of their support.

THE competition last Friday was a clean sweep for ‘Sssezelaa’ bowlers.
Winners were Mike Carr and Bryony D’Oliveira, scoring 4+17.

Tom Botha and Penny Ridgeway won second session on a massive 2+20.
Runners-up Alan and Lindy Suter had an unusual outcome.
After beating Jerry Davey and Gaynor Symons, who both have or had KBA district recognition, peeled with Linda Stead and Mally Swanby on 4+7.
Competition organiser, Peter Woolcock announced after a countout could not separate the two sides and that the result would be decided on a one shot play-off.

Linda Stead, Loretta Holness and Christine Aldhouse provided the tasty tea time snacks.
This month’s mixed trips, organised by Jerry Davey, was won by Hibberdene visitors Albert, Alida and Cheryl Munnik scoring 4+21.
Runners-up were Kevin and Sandy O’Donoghue and Tony Hoggins on 4+15.
A score of 2+5 was enough to win second session prize for Dave Lyon, Charles Douglas and Gaynor Symons.

Taffy Knight should have joined the small field of nine bowlers who turned up for tabs on Sunday due to the Boks verses Wales rugby match.
He would have enjoyed the day a lot better than watching his team being steamrolled by the ‘Green Machine’. Go, Bokke go!
A reminder that while competition times will remain as is tab’s starting times will be 2pm for 2.30pm from November 1.
Members and visitors will be very welcome at this month’s Nomads Bowl’s Day hosted by Sezela Bowling Club on Sunday, November 17 at 8.30am for 9am.
Sadly, Helen White died last week and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
The clubhouse overflowed with members, family and friends who came to pay homage to Helen, a true Sezela stalwart.
