It has been a great start to the festive season for most fishermen, especially those dropping a line in and around the Rocky Bay area.

One paddle-ski fisherman went out to sea and came back with eight fish – four dorado and four tuna.

Akbar Takoor is all smiles, having caught two catface spotted rockcod weighing in at 4kgs and 2.7kgs respectively.

Mother Nature is partly to thank for the good catches, serving up some excellent weather.

Rock and surf anglers experienced quite a bit of inedible action too, with honeycombs and sandies being the order of the day.

Here’s hoping that the rest of the season will be as good, if not better than the start.
