A number of Blue Ocean Aquatics club members took part in a swim at Midmar Dam in Howick recently.
It was an opportunity to get some practice ahead of next year’s Midmar Mile.

Those that swam in either the 1km, 3km or 5km (or in some cases more than one event) were Jacey Bekker, Nelzaan Strydom, Ricardo Carthew, Winé Koekemoer, Bianca Berman, Tharien Venter, Kirsty Koegelenberg, Mandy Koegelenberg, Lucinda Curtis, Louise Kretzschmar, Andrew Cornhill, George Annandale, Peet van Coller and Bonita Borches.
The next weekend, four members swam in the Bucco Surf Swim at Addington Beach in Durban.
Mandy swam the 3.9km event while Ricardo, Nelzaan and Lucinda swam the 1.9km race.
