The new year’s day alliance at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday was won on 96 points by Jeanette Peyios, Lorraine Cook, Lynne and Brian Blackstock.
Runners-up were Jill Webster, Bob O’Callaghan, Alex and Ken Crawford on 92 points.

In third place were Peter and Sue Kupisiewicz, with Anton and Louise Leal on 91 points.
The DGB day last Saturday saw first place going to Rene Matthew and Janet Humphrey on 44 points by three from Sharon Turnbull-Jackson and Gill Huddy.
Two further adrift were Meryl Germs and Bev Riemer, by one from Louise Leal and Helene Hinder.
In the men’s section, winners were Jannie Ackerman and Shaun Norris on 45 points.
They counted out Gordon Moody and George Wright.
Third place went to Johan Wentzel and Riaan Croucamp on 44 points.
