Bowls kicks off with a bang
The club will be hosting a five week Twilight bowls competition starting on January 22.
THE play-offs of the KBA Mixed Fours was played last Sunday, with three of the club’s teams taking part.
Well done to Liesje de Rosner, Len Brickhill, Helen Turk and Fred Hutchins, as well as the team of Bob Elliott, Richard van Waltsleven, Carol Cameron and Louise Shone, who will be playing in the semi-finals this Sunday (19th).

They will both be playing against teams from Margate BC.
Men’s trips, sponsored by J Leslie Smith & Company Inc, was won by Mike Davis, Billy Smth and Mike Mordaunt on 4+20.
Runners-up were Kevin O’Donoghue, Tony Hoggins and Ogies Steyn on 4+17.
Second session was tied, with Bob Elliott, Cecil Smith and Derek Hodge as well as Len Brickhill, Allan Grey and Zoltan de Rosner both having 2+8.
Men’s league:
First team beat Port Shepstone 3-2. Second team beat Sezela 3-2. Third team lost to Riverside B 5-0.
This weekend the first team plays Banners Rest (away), second play Scottburgh (away) and thirds play The Bell C, also away.
