Daena, who has just transferred to Seals as she is going to boarding school this year, did the club very proud by breaking the KZN and SA record in the 11 and under 50m breaststroke event.

She set the new record in a time of 35.64 and also went on to win a further three gold medals in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and 50m freestyle events.

Gemma Allchin was on form for the breaststroke events and scooped silver in the 100m breaststroke and two bronze medals in the 50m and 200m breaststroke events. A fantastic achievement as she

was competing out of her age group against 13-year olds.

Daniel Fisher won a silver medal in the 50m breaststroke event and had great improvements on his times in the 100m breaststroke and 200m IM events.

Congratulations go to Nelzaan Strydom, Ricardo Carthew and George Annandale for adding to the list of events and have qualified for the level 3 regionals in Newcastle during March.

This was a most successful meet for BOA and the club is currently preparing for Level 2 and Level 1 provincial champs in February.
