Easy win for Allyson and Bev
The course is in magnificent condition after the summer rain.
Allyson Thomas and Bev Riemer won the ladies betterball at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday on 47 points, two ahead of Jill Webster and Gill Huddy.
In third place were Louise Leal and Janet Humphrey on 42 points.

The men’s winners were Derrik and Bruce Matthew on 44 points, counting out Jim Cook and Olliver Ransome, as well as Brian Jolliffe and AB Cronje.
There was a three-way tie for fourth on 43 points, shared by Leon van Schalkwyk and Craig Treherne, Ken Crawford and Clive Greenway, as well as Colin McKay and Malcolm Greenland.
The open alliance last Saturday was won on 91 points by Peter and Sue Kupisiewicz, Norman and Shirley Jeffery.
Runners-up on 90 points were Bobby Jones, Tony Westoby, Anthony Hughes and Howard Kelly, as well as Sharon Turnbull-Jackson, Lee Mucth, Carol Lamb and Heleen Hissey.
In fourth place were Olliver Ransome, Erwin Schanda, Rob Meydell and Chris Miller on 88 points.
Chicken Run: Wynand Botha 19 pts, Danie Schutte 18 pts, Roger Phillips 17 pts, AB Cronje 17 pts, Geoff Skelton 17 pts.
