Selvin is Summer Slam champion
Players are now looking forward to the league that kicks off shortly.
The atmosphere at the Margate Country Club snooker centre was electric over the past weekend as the top four qualifiers reached the knockout stage.
In the first semi-finals, Siyanda Nkonyeni defeated Eddie Redlinguys 4-0.
In the second semi- final, Selvin Moodley took out JJ Kruger 4-0.

The final was contested between Selvin and Siyanda, where spectators were entertained with some class act snooker.
Selvin proved once again why he is the ace in the pack when it comes to competitive snooker on the South Coast.
He went on to win the Summer Slam challenge final with ease, not giving his opponent any opportunities throughout the match.
Just as in the semis, Selvin went on to keep a clean sheet by not dropping any frames and going on to win the match 5-0.
The play off for third place went to JJ with a 3-0 win over Eddie.
The snooker association thanked Andrew Curlewis for his generous sponsorship towards this tournament.

With snooker gaining in popularity all over the country, the sport is in need of development in the South Coast.
Selvin, a former two-time KwaZulu-Natal and Durban and Districts snooker champion has been tasked by Cue Sports SA with coaching the youth.
A youth league has been set aside on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
This will give the youth the opportunity to compete at a national level.
