Corrie is in fine winning form
There were prizes for best dressed, worst dressed and grumpiest skip, and everyone received heart-shaped goodies.
Husband and wife teams dominated the mixed trips competition last week when Geoff and Jenny Donaldson with Bryony D’Oliveira won the second session of the mixed trips finishing on 2+12.
Runners-up on 4+20 was Kevin and Sandy O’Donoghue and Tony Hoggins; overall winners with a score of 4+23 were Corrie and Cassie van Aswegen and Jenny Wadeley.

Corrie has been in fine form lately, featuring in league matches and winning the men’s 2-4-2 competition with Chris Wehr.
Scottfin Insurance Brokers, Umdoni Golf Estate and Atlanta Spur sponsored this event for which we are most grateful, without their support competitions would be a no-go.

Thanks to refreshment providers on the day, Irene Hutton, Sandy O’Donoghue, Engela Wehr, Charles Douglas and Christine Aldhouse and special thanks to Irene who, at the last minute was called to make up a team, and still managed to bring teatime goodies.
Gay Symons has played in the AMBC twilight competition with a different team each week and is second on the ladder after three rounds, the fourth being rained out and the final being played today (February 25).
Watch the notice board for March’s forthcoming events, which will include St Patrick’s Day scheduled for March 13th and the annual bowls/croquet event.
The fund-raising project for our kiosk renovations got off to a good start thanks to Pam Golding Properties sponsoring the St Valentine’s Day event.

The committee looks forward to continued support from members and the local bowling community.
Casey Griffin and Claire Termets were welcome visitors to the club and are potential new members, showing interest in both bowls and croquet.
They are two bubbly girls and ideal prospects for the ‘Friendly Club’ – their joining will certainly lower the average age of membership.
The wooden spoon ‘stirrer of the week’ award will be presented to Zelda Wood who told her daughter, Shanna, to say “totsiens oom” to youthful Mally Swanby on his departure from the club.
