After one of the longest and most intense matches ever seen on the Marburg courts, Falcons VC emerged victorious in the premier division with City Boys as runners-up.
The popular premier section drew a huge crowd, as some of the legends of yesteryear made a return to the sport.
PSVA chairman Ian Rajagopal told the Herald that everyone played fantastically well.
“From the beginning until the end, the volleyball courts were jam-packed. Volleyball clubs gave of their best as players and supporters enjoyed a day of thrilling action. The excitement and enthusiasm was noticeable as the long and much-awaited tournament ‘spiked’ off in grand style.”
