Durban league challenge for Scottburgh rugby

New talent and players are always welcome and needed.

UNDER the guidance of chairman Piet Kleinhans, the Scottburgh Old Boys Rugby Club, has moved back into the Durban league.

Opponents for 2020 will be in and around the Durban area, with various friendlies also being played, home and away, in both Durban and the Southern KwaZulu-Natal area.

These opponents will include Harlequins, Crusaders, Queensburgh, Mangosuthu University, Clermont, Ogwini, DUT, Reservoir Hills, Kwantu Spears and Inkunzi.

The first match of the season is away against Harlequins on April 18 and the first home match will be against Kwantu Spears on May 9.

In addition to the league and friendly matches, the SOBRC will be organising various fund-raising activities, and information will follow on these as it becomes available.

New talent and players are always welcome and needed.

All players interested in playing are asked to attend practices at Scottburgh Country Club every Tuesday and Thursday at 5.30pm.

Supporters are encouraged to make a concerted effort to attend games, both home and away, now that the games are all within the Durban area.
