Medals and records for swimmers

The swimmers have made impressive improvement so far this season.

A number of Blue Ocean Aquatics Swim Club members took part at the recent level 2 provincial championships held in Durban.

The 11 swimmers who entered came home with eight gold medals, eight silver medals and five bronze medals between them, as well as clocking some personal best times.

Bagging medals were Elisabeth Ballack (gold 50m backstroke), Hannah Parry (silver 200m freestyle and bronze 50m freestyle), Hannah Scott (gold 200m freestyle), Leah Scott (gold and three silver in her respective events), Tharien Venter (gold 200m freestyle, bronze in 200m breaststroke and 200m backstroke).

Other winners were Amber Vorster (three silver medals and a bronze medal in 200m individual medley), Christopher Ballack (silver in 50m breaststroke), James Fisher (three gold medals in breaststroke events), Joshua Notrem (gold 100m butterfly, bronze 50m butterfly).
