Tennis returns to Umtentweni and club champs loom
Club Championships will be played during September and October, starting on September 19.
Umtentweni Tennis Club is back with a vengeance now that Level 2 of lockdown has been implemented, with all six courts in action last Saturday.
A balmy late winter day saw visitors, Prem Moodley, Calet de Vos and Angus Black’s son joining members and they were most welcome.

The club welcomes new members, Carmen Jesson, Dick and Natasha Cotterell, Tharish Ranjit and Thulani Mavundle as well as junior members Jaden Jesson, Michael Potgieter and Cegen Verster to the club.
The new Saturday duty list is up on the notice board at the club and members are requested to make sure of when they are on duty and make the necessary swap if they can’t make their day.
Check your contact numbers and correct any that are incorrect.
Club Championships will be played during September and October, starting on September 19.
Put your names on the lists at the club by September 12 as the draw will be done on September 14.
The dates for the Pro-Kennex Seniors’ Tournament, which was postponed in March, have been moved to December 10-13 so all those who entered have extra time to hone their skills.
