Visitors add to great mood at Tweni tennis

Prem Moodley, Jason Black and Wayne Hartogh joined members for a great afternoon of tennis and camaraderie with the necessary precautions being adhered to.

Once again, the good weather encouraged members and visitors to fill six courts at Tweni Tennis Club last Saturday.

Grateful thanks go to Chris Connellan for helping in the garden and cutting the very overgrown hedge – a mammoth task! Hopefully, the rain we had last night will help our surroundings at the club to revive.

Shauna Hudson is wished all the best as she celebrates her birthday on the 6th and a year ahead filled with many happy hours on the courts.

Members wish Chantelle Donald a speedy recovery so that she can play at full strength again soon.

Don’t forget to put your names on the lists for the championships by September 12 and remember, where the entry is big enough, there will also be a backdraw.

An urgent reminder to all that any changes you’d like to suggest for the new draft constitution should be in by this Saturday.

Members are reminded that, besides providing tea on their duty day, they are also responsible for organising sets till 4pm.
